Anang Tal

Anang Tal is a man-made mini-lake or tank created in 1060 AD by Raja Anang Pal Tomar, the founder of Delhi. It lies in area between the flood plain of river and Delhi Ridge in the Northern extension of ancient Aravalli Range. This tank is alos said to have been utilised by Alauddin Khalji A.D in 1296-1316 when he built the Qutub Minar and extended the Qutub-ul-Islam mosque.
