Adi Kailash Parikrama Run
About the Event
The Adi Kailash Parikrama Run is a high-altitude ultra marathon in Uttarakhand’s legendary Vyasa Valley, designed to promote border adventure tourism and celebrate 25 years of Uttarakhand statehood. Starting at Gunji village (altitude: 10,300 - 15,000 ft), the event features five categories: 60 km Ultra, 42 km Full Marathon, 21 km Half Marathon, 10 km, and 5 km runs. The flagship 60 km ultra course circles sacred sites, crossing Jolingkong, Parvati Kund, Kutti, Nabidang, and Kalapani, with an elevation gain of over 1,500 meters.
All participants receive race kits, medals, time-chip bibs, refreshment, and e-certificates, while winners earn trophies and prize money. The run also serves as a campaign for drug-free youth and sustainable livelihood through tourism in the Himalayas.
The Adi Kailash Parikrama Run is regarded as a once-in-a-lifetime adventure - combining spiritual pilgrimage, endurance sport, and the untamed beauty of Himalayan borderlands.
