About the Event

Deccan Ultra introduces trails nestled deep within Sahyadri Range, offering mesmerising Deccan Plateau views. This February event includes Maharashtra's highest peak Kalsubai at 1,646m altitude and the toughest triple-trouble forts: Alanggad, Madangad, and Kulanggad, commonly called AMK.

The route mixes easy-ascent slopes with treacherous rocky outcrops overlooking valleys below. Near-vertical slopes require iron ladders along the course. The 161km, 115km, and 80km categories circulate around vast Bhandardara dam and iconic Windmill mountain top, involving climbing five forts and Kalsubai peak.

Organised by Grand Indian Trails, Deccan Ultra offers eight categories from 7.5k with 1,107m elevation to 161k with 5,735m elevation gain, showcasing India's diverse terrain from rocky Himalayan faces to forested Sahyadri and Western Ghat slopes through grueling, challenging race routes.
