Vagamon Ultrail
About the Event
Vagamon ULtrail presents an ultra trail marathon in Vagamon hills, organised by Soles of Cochin - fitness enthusiasts passionate about long-distance running who have organised annual Spice Coast Marathon in Kochi since 2014. This January event evolved from internal running festivals in Vagamon since 2016, opening to public in 2018.
The ultra marathon provides opportunities to run through Vagamon's trails, hills, meadows, and ridges. Vagamon, a hill station along Kottayam-Idukki border, has been nicknamed 'Scotland of Asia', providing paradise for trail runners with two categories: 36k with 1,187m elevation and 75k with 2,742m elevation gain.
This Kerala event showcases the natural beauty and diverse terrain that makes Vagamon one of South India's most enchanting destinations for trail running enthusiasts seeking authentic mountain challenges.
